WHAT: The second of many annual Modern Heirloom Portrait events to capture your child and their personality. Genuine laughter, funny faces, and your child’s unique expressions are all part of it! No stuffiness or being boring the whole time here. But don’t worry, we’ll also get some images that Grandma wants too. Lauren will be working with an assistant for these to keep everything efficient. We’ve blocked off 20 minutes per family just in case your little one(s) need more time to warm up! Actual shooting time will vary, but typically only takes about 5 minutes per child. This is 100% dependent on your little one! If you missed it in the first paragraph: if you have a diagnosed child on the spectrum or with a sensory disorder, we will design special accommodations for your child based on their unique needs, so please reach out directly to us to discuss your individual child and their needs, and we will book you in directly. We will NOT be asking you for details on your child’s diagnosis. We will be finding out what works best for your child to best craft the environment for them to feel comfortable and capture their portraits for you!

WHO: Existing full portrait session clients of Lily Sophia Photography - photographs will be of children only. Babies must be 6 months of age minimum and able to sit up well assisted only by a parent holding their lower body. Each family may have up to 3 siblings. Cousins and friend groups will each need to book their own session and will not be photographed together.

Please do not share this with friends. While we LOVE and deeply appreciate your referrals, our special events are exclusive to our existing clients only. This means you have had a FULL portrait session with us anytime in the past. Should anyone book that is NOT an existing client, their booking will promptly and politely be cancelled.

PRICING: $150 session fee to book your 20 minute session. This is the session fee only, and does not include images. After viewing your image proof gallery, you may have the option to choose Collection I which includes 5 edited images of your choice for $250, or Collection II* for $425 which includes 12 edited images of your choice from your proof gallery. Final galleries will have color AND black & white versions for you and they’re both yours to keep! For Collection II folks ONLY: if you can’t decide on 12 images, you may add on additional images at our special event pricing of $50 per image. Single image add-ons are NOT available for Collection I.

*Collection II MUST be chosen if you have more than one child and you will automatically be invoiced for that. Children are photographed individually, NOT in sibling groupings. If time allows, and your children are mature enough/cooperative enough, sibling groupings MAY be attempted, but this is NOT a guarantee. If sibling groupings are important to you, please book a full portrait family session to avoid disappointment.

Your edited high resolution files are delivered within 1 week by digital download along with your personal print release, so you will not need to return to the studio to pick anything up afterwards unless you choose to order professionally printed artwork through us.

FAQ’S

I have a family session coming up in the studio. Can I just add on some HEIRLOOM IMAGES of my children to the end OF IT?

Unfortunately, no. Your children will be tired at the end of a regular session, and we need them fresh and ready to go as soon as they walk in. We work super efficiently to get what we need before their energy and interest burns out. Additionally, the setup of the studio lighting, backdrop, etc. along with light testing for these type of images is not quick. That’s why we are offering this as an annual event so we can serve our clients well and get the best possible Modern Heirloom Portraits for them!

WHAT SHOULD MY LITTLE ONE(S) WEAR?

So glad you asked! Southern smocking is not required here unless that’s your jam. If your little one is old enough to have opinions, definitely take those into consideration so they feel ownership in their time here with us! The little guy in the blazer and button down INSISTED on wearing exactly that, and felt confident and sharp. Avoid large and distracting headbands and hairbows. Little girls often love to dress up. Whether you opt for simple or fancy: your child will look adorable either way! We always recommend soft and neutral tones when it comes to clothing color, and will have a style guide and Pinterest inspiration board that we send to all booked clients.

We have cousins and they’re like siblings, so can we just book one session?

Nope. We have many clients who are just like you (and we love that you’re this close!), but these sessions are strictly for immediate family members (siblings) within one family with no exceptions.

WILL YOU TAKE PHOTOS OF MY CHILDREN TOGETHER OR JUST INDIVIDUALLY?

This event is meant for photographs of each individual child and that is the top priority.

DEPENDING on the age of your children and how they are doing, we MAY attempt a grouped photo, but this is NOT a guarantee and is up to the discretion of Lauren and her assistant once your little ones are being photographed.

Example: a 2 year old is not going to be capable of holding a 7 month old safely or a wiggly toddler who just wants to run and doesn’t want to sit with their older siblings is not going to be safe (or enjoyable) for the siblings!

Grouping images on your wall of each individual child will show off their individual portraits and personalities best rather than image with multiple subjects. If having images with all your children in them are important to you, you will need to inquire about a full natural light indoor or outdoor session.

WHAT IF MY CHILD GETS SICK AT THE LAST MINUTE AND WE CAN’T MAKE IT THE DAY OF?

We will have a makeup date at a later time in August if this happens, so you’re covered! These session fees are not eligible to be transferred to a full portrait session and may only be used for this purpose.
